*Alison sees patients 13 and up and is available at the Highlands Ranch clinic.
Alison has always been drawn to helping people, and she knew from an early age that she wanted a career in nursing. In 2015, after completing her nursing degree at the University of Colorado, she started working as a registered nurse. While gaining valuable experience working at an in-patient and correctional facility, Alison recognized that she wanted to offer a deeper level of care to the patients she treated as a registered nurse. She wanted to help them identify and treat the root cause of their mental health concerns. Alison also recognized the need for psychiatric providers in Behavioral Health. Because of this, she decided to return to school, and she received her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree in 2019 from Colorado State University.
Since graduation, Alison has been working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner caring for adolescents and adults. She has several years of experience treating many mental health concerns, including but not limited to ADHD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, disordered eating, grief, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Alison brings a holistic approach to patient treatment. She sees her patients as individuals who've had unique experiences that have shaped them. Instead of only treating symptoms, Alison tries to identify the root cause of a mental health concern, taking the time to learn about the patient and offer treatment with long-term success.
When not at work, Alison enjoys spending time outdoors and camping with her finance and her puppies.
