At Larson Mental Health, we’ve assembled a talented team of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners in Colorado (PMHNPs) who are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat those with mental health conditions. By working closely with patients to prevent, identify, and manage symptoms of various mental health conditions, our team can help improve your quality of life and your long-term mental wellness. And with offices across the state, we have many highly trained and qualified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners in Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Highlands Ranch to support your mental health goals.

Our PMHNPs are experts in psychopharmacology, which means we possess an in-depth knowledge of all psychiatric medications, how each one affects brain chemistry, and how to effectively prescribe them for optimal outcomes. If you’re looking for ways to mitigate your symptoms and improve your mental health, our talented team can help.

Elliott O’Melia, PMHNP-BC, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Boulder, Colorado

(Preferred pronouns: He/him/his)

*Elliott sees patients 8 and up and is available at our Boulder clinic.

Elliott’s career in mental health started in 2014 as a behavioral therapist for the Wisconsin Early Autism Project, in which he would provide in-home behavioral therapy to children diagnosed with Autism. During that time, Elliott would realize his genuine passion and enjoyment for working in the mental health field. Elliott continues to appreciate this realization, and the purpose that working in the mental health field provides him.

Elliott has a particular passion for treating ADHD but also treats patients experiencing many mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, bipolar disorder, and life transitions.

One of Elliott’s favorite aspects of being a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner includes getting to know the individual.

Elliott believes that we never forget the people that were there for us when we ask for help. Working in psychiatry, Elliott appreciates this amazing opportunity to be remembered as that very person. He sees it as an incredible honor when someone puts faith in him and his ability to support them, knowing how difficult initially sharing a vulnerability with a stranger may feel. This is an honor that Elliott never wants to take for granted. Some of the most powerful moments of his life he attributes to his work in the mental health field, and he knows he wouldn’t be who he is today without those moments.

Elliott enjoys being active in his free time which includes tennis, running, weightlifting, and skiing. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Elliott carries with him to Colorado a strong passion for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, and cheese curds.
