Experienced Mental Health Care Professionals

At Larson Mental Health, we’ve assembled a talented team of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners in Colorado (PMHNPs) who are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat those with mental health conditions. By working closely with patients to prevent, identify, and manage symptoms of various mental health conditions, our team can help improve your quality of life and your long-term mental wellness. And with offices across the state, we have many highly trained and qualified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners in Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Highlands Ranch to support your mental health goals.

Our PMHNPs are experts in psychopharmacology, which means we possess an in-depth knowledge of all psychiatric medications, how each one affects brain chemistry, and how to effectively prescribe them for optimal outcomes. If you’re looking for ways to mitigate your symptoms and improve your mental health, our talented team can help.

Jenny Tarr is licensed and board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and joins Larson Mental Health's clinical team as a PMHNP. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2006. For the last 15 years, Jenny has practiced as a registered nurse in the emergency department, gaining valuable pediatric and adult clinical experience in mental health triage, assessment, and stabilization. Jenny completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2022 from Regis University to become Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Colorado.

Her goal is to partner with patients to provide holistic, evidence-based care. Jenny honors each individual’s personal journey and will provide a non-judgmental, supportive space where you will feel heard. She does not believe in the one-size-fits-all approach. She will work with you to find an individualized treatment plan to meet your specific needs. This involves an integrative approach to include medication management, psychoeducation, nutrition, and complementary therapies. Her areas of interest include, but are not limited to mood, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, trauma and stressor-related disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and eating disorders.

Jenny is a lifelong learner and has an innate curiosity about the role of diet and nutrition on mental health and wellbeing. Her future goal is to get certified in Nutritional and Integrative Medicine to complement her practice.
