Lorrie Day is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Fort Collins. She began her nursing career in 1996 after earning a diploma in nursing from Saint Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing. In 2018, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Colorado Technical University. Her 27-year nursing career includes emergency, trauma, and forensic nursing including valuable experience in mental health triage, assessment, and crisis stabilization of both pediatric and adult populations. In 2022, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Colorado State University-Pueblo to become board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Fort Collins. 

Lorrie is passionate about issues surrounding diversity, mental health disparities, and ending stigma. She believes that each person is a unique individual who is the expert of their own story and who possesses the resources to partner in the decision-making process and recovery journey. Lorrie has experience treating many mental health issues including but not limited to ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, bipolar disorder, disordered eating, school issues, self-esteem, self-harm, OCD, and sleep issues. Her goal is to create a space where patients feel safe and accepted. She will work closely with you to create a treatment plan tailored to your personal needs and goals.
