Emma is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of diverse, comprehensive nursing experience spanning clinical, military, and forensic healthcare settings. Grounded in a trauma-informed and holistic philosophy, Emma specializes in providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care that honors the complex connection between mind, body, and environment.

After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado in 2010, Emma commissioned into the United States Air Force and served seven years on active duty. Stationed at San Antonio Military Medical Center and Peterson Space Force Base, her clinical background encompassed multiple inpatient and outpatient specialties, including orthopedics and pediatrics. In 2018, she transitioned to civilian practice as a Forensic Nurse Examiner, providing dedicated, specialized medical care for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. These profound experiences ignited her passion to directly address the deep, lasting impact of trauma on an individual's life, ultimately shaping her path into psychiatric mental health.

In tandem with her civilian clinical practice, Emma continues her military service as a Major and nurse in the Air Force Reserve. Her extensive background in military leadership and ethical decision-making frameworks deeply informs her structured, collaborative approach to healthcare. By blending rigorous clinical expertise with a steadfast commitment to advocacy and mentorship, she creates a safe, empowering space for individuals navigating their mental health journeys, fostering resilient partnerships that promote long-term, sustainable wellness.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, exploring new places, and getting outside to enjoy the outdoors.
