Our PMHNPs are experts in psychopharmacology, which means we possess an in-depth knowledge of all psychiatric medications, how each one affects brain chemistry, and how to effectively prescribe them for optimal outcomes. Katie Bland, PMHNP

Katie is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Fort Collins. With over 13 years of nursing experience, including 9 years in mental health, she has worked with a wide variety of mental health conditions at various stages. As a provider, she is determined to help individuals achieve optimal mental wellness by incorporating evidence-based treatment strategies. She acknowledges that mental health challenges are unique to each person and strives to generate a partnership in achieving one's treatment goals. She collaborates closely with her patients, empowering them to take an active role in their care. She is passionate about educating and presenting all options to foster informed decision-making.

In her practice, Katie aims to ensure her patients feel valued, heard, and supported. She will work at a pace set by the patient to establish trust and rapport enhancing their experience. She is committed to providing culturally sensitive and holistic care to individuals from all backgrounds across the lifespan. She takes delight in working with all age groups and mental health conditions including but not limited to mood disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, ADHD, anxiety, and conditions derived from trauma.

Outside of work, Katie finds joy in spending time with her family, including her husband, two boys, her mom, and their cat, Leonidas. While the humans are cheering on the boys at soccer and hockey games, Leonidas performs gravity tests with household items on countertops for quality assurance.
