Experienced Mental Health Care Professionals

At Larson Mental Health, we’ve assembled a talented team of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners in Colorado (PMHNPs) who are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat those with mental health conditions. By working closely with patients to prevent, identify, and manage symptoms of various mental health conditions, our team can help improve your quality of life and your long-term mental wellness. And with offices across the state, we have many highly trained and qualified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners in Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Highlands Ranch to support your mental health goals.

Our PMHNPs are experts in psychopharmacology, which means we possess an in-depth knowledge of all psychiatric medications, how each one affects brain chemistry, and how to effectively prescribe them for optimal outcomes. If you’re looking for ways to mitigate your symptoms and improve your mental health, our talented team can help.

Richelle Power, PMHNP-BC, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Colorado Springs, Colorado

(Preferred pronouns: She/her/hers)

*Richelle sees patients 8 and up and is available at our Colorado Springs clinic.

Richelle is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with extensive expertise in mental health care, with interests rooted in women's health across life transitions. Her initial start into nursing was later in life inspired by her own mother who is a retired geriatric Registered Nurse and father who was a hospital executive in numerous rural hospitals up in Canada while growing up. As early as elementary school the career had a calling but evidently Richelle started a different path with education before finally learning about an accelerated nursing program that would lead to the initial Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) credential to earn a Master of Science in Nursing. The calling for psychiatric care became more evident both during nursing school and during Covid which led to the additional post-graduate certificate as a PMHNP. Richelle is a dedicated practitioner who cares for the whole family’s emotional well-being.

With a robust background in clinical research spanning a decade in industry, academic, and military trials, Richelle brings a comprehensive understanding of healthcare dynamics. Her professional journey includes focused work in psychiatric substance use, co-occurring and mood disorders, complemented by my Master of Public Health with a focus on epidemiology and maternal/infant morbidity and mortality and non-practicing Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) credentials.

Committed to patient-centered care, Richelle prioritizes autonomy and employs trauma-informed approaches that respect individual experiences. Her practice embraces holistic mental health support, offering compassionate, evidence-based interventions for diverse patient populations while maintaining a deep commitment to professional excellence and personalized treatment strategies.

When not working Richelle enjoys travel, light landscaping projects and continuing education as a life long learner.
